History Repeats Itself

The UK government says they are going on providing assisiatnce to the Ukrainian army.

Defence Secretary Michael Fallon today (19 November) informed Parliament that the UK will provide a £971,000 gifting package as part of our non-lethal support being provided to the UAF.
The equipment being gifted includes 170 large tents, 170 heating units and 600 sets of cold weather clothing...

Well, I am a bit surprised 170 tents + 170 heaters + 600 sets of winter clothes make almost one million pounds. It smells like some guys are making good business. Anyhow, that's what Capitalism is all about; this is nit the point I am going to discuss.

Having read this piece of news, I remembered a story that took place almost exactly a century ago, in 1919. And it was also about the British military assistance to a fighting side in Russia (which Ukraine is just a part of; maybe except for its Western part).

Here is how Major General W.S.Graves of the US Army told that story in his book "America's Siberian Adventure (1918—1920)":

Most of the uniforms for the mobilized Russians were supplied by the British. General Knox stated that one hundred thousand uniforms had been supplied by the British for Kolchak forces. This was partially substantiated by the number of men in the Red Army wearing British uniforms. General Knox was disgusted at the Reds wearing British uniforms and later is re-ported to have said that the British would supply nothing more to Kolchak because everything they supplied reached the Bolsheviks. The men found in the Red Army wearing the British uniforms were the same men, generally speaking, to whom these uniforms were issued when they were with the Kolchak forces. The great mass of these men had no heart for fighting for Kolchak.

The methods used by the Kolchak people to mobilize these Siberians created a resentment not easily removed. They went into the service embittered by fear, not of the enemy, but of their own forces. The result was, as soon as they were armed and equipped they deserted by regiments, battalions, and individually to the Bolsheviks.

We will see how many of the stuff Fallon says about will make its unsurprising way to Novorossia.

Historic Fail

Recently Ukraine celebrated its Independence Day.

I am not going into thin matters of how funny (and tragic at the same time) it sounds for me as an ex-Soviet citizen. I just wuold like to draw your attention to one of the tweets with which Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko celebrated the day.

Ukraine existed, exists, and will exist. And Novorossiya is a Tolkien's myth called Mordor.

He wrote it in Ukrainian, but our languages are so close that there's absolutely no trouble for me to translate it.

The matter is that the word Novorossiya (literally, New Russia) officially appeared in 1764, when Russian empress Catherine the Great established the Novorossiya governorate on the lands conquered during Russo-Turks wars.

Twig As a Door Lock

When there's a shelling, I take the locking bar off my door and change it with a twiglet. Why? There were lots of cases when doors got jammed during shellings and people could hardly get out. And how many deaths are unknown just because they failed? So, put a twig instead of your metal locking bar. It will be either a blast wave that breaks it, or myself. Thus, correspondingly, we shall survive :-)

An Act of Terror

The Ukrainian press is quite a thing in itself.

Here is their recent masterpiece, just published on Podrobnosti.ua.

The title goes:

Terrorists Have Restored Railway in Debaltsevo Within 12 Days.

The article adds, on February 19 the ATO speaker Andrey Lysenko announced the Debaltsevo railway junction was totally demolished, to the state of "Moon surface". Evidently, as a counter-terorristic act within the ATO, which literally reads as the "Anti-Terror Operation".

A Map of Hell

Using Google Map resource, some volunteers of Donetsk have created and are constantly adding data to a map of shelling and bombing sites of Donetsk region.

I am not sure the map opens for you in English, so what you have to know is:

Donetsk = Донецк

All capital leters in italic are names of districts of the city of Donetsk or Donetsk Oblast.

At present they've collected data for the period since September 4, 2014 to January 16, 2015.

You a welcome to check yourself that Anti-Terroristic Operation carried on by the Kiev/Kyiv regime since before Poroshenko was elected as president (by the way, who does remember now he promised to finish the ATO in just days?) in fact is a countinuous act of state terrorism against civilian population of their own country, effected illegally using all armed forces including army, that according to their constitution has no right to carry on warfare without declaring the war state, let alone shooting at own population.

You are free to see that all their statements regarding 'pro-Russian separatists and terrorists' shelling their own houses is a total bullshit. Because the Ukrainian state supported by the USA and the official EU carries own a true bloody civil war. But they cannot win, as the people cannot lose; the people either win or die, tertium non datur.

Just open your eyes and see. It is the 21st century.

Europe (geographically; though those maidan jumpers would like to go to Europe still farther, evidently, to better spread their nazi ideas of national supremacy).

As Seen by a Forensic Psychiatrist

I'd like to tell everybody who speaks about "deceived, zombified Ukrainian military and inhabitants of Ukraine"; who believes they "need time to get it", "to be able to sort through the political situation" and so on; I'd like to tell you that all you are indirectly guilty of the bloodshed in Donbass. You excuse the Ukrainian murderers and their accomplices referring to their mental disability they have not. You say the boy (being 20 or 40 years of age) was under a misapprehension and killed a woman with a baby in hands in their own home. And the mother of this boy was also under a misapprehension blessing him to kill... So was the military comissar... So was the driver who got him to the scene of crime...

You give a pardon to all these people, and doing so you prepare other Donbass mothers with babies in arms to be victims.

As a psychiatrist with 40 years of experience who have conducted tens thousands labour, military and forensic examinations I state that the references of the Ukrainian examinees to "being zombified, deceived" are apparent lie, malingering. It is believed that only people with heavy mental disorders, those who are found insane and incapable in court, are unable to sort through the political situation in their country. (Though some of these people are sorting through Ukrainian and world politics perfectly.) All the rest are not only able, but obliged to sort good from evil. This is their duty. Especially when there are rivers of blood in the country. A delusion, whether true or imaginary, does not grant a discharge.

Circus of Idiots

There are two useful words in the Ukrainian language: peremoha (перемога, victory) and zrada (зрада, betrayal). When a peremoha becomes a zrada, there happens the third essence: han'ba (ганьба) — shame. Such is the vicious circle of the Ukrainian daily life since the peremoha of Maidan over unbearably cruel tyrant and greedy thief Yanukovich.

After this brief preface, just two ridiculously connected news of the last day to illustrate.

1. PRESS SERVICE OF THE DNIPRO-1 REGIMENT* INFORMS

This night a guerrilla part coordinated by the Dnipro-1 regiment blew up a freight train used by terrorists to transport coal to the Russian federation.
Two cars and a part of the railway are totally destroyed at Krasnaya Mogila station close to the town of Sverdlovsk, Luhansk region.
Thus, the railway connection between the southern part of the Luhansk region and the Russian Federation is disrupted.
Dnipro-1 regiment expresses support to guerrillas and thanks them for the fruitful cooperation in favour of the Ukrainian state.
Glory to Ukraine!


However, next day Gennady (Hennadiy) Moskal**, Lugansk region governor (for the Kiev/Kyiv regime) made the following statement:

Je Suis Volnovakha?

There are some places that can undoubtedly be called hell on Earth. One of such places is Ukraine, mostly its Eastern part, including two self-proclaimed repubics of Donetsk and Lugansk that call themselves Novorossiya.

Yesterday there was another tragedy there: explosion of something rpoduced plenty of splinters that killed, as per actual information, 12 people and wounded 17.

In no time (and it's not just a figure of speech — it really was done immediately — the Ukrainian side blamed "Russian terrorists" in this attack. No wonder: for the Ukrainian collective unconsious feeling Russia is guilty in every and all Ukrainian troubles, Russia in general and Putin personally.

A picture from a pro-Kiev, pro-maidan Facebook public account. They always know who's to blame.

Yet more surprising was the press briefing of Marie Harf that also took place almost immediately after the killing. She said, in particular:

... we condemn continued attacks by separatists as they attempt to control additional territory in violation of the Minsk agreements. Today’s vicious and repeated attacks on the Donetsk Airport and the shelling of a bus that killed 10 people and wounded 13 are just the latest egregious violations of the commitments made by the Russia-backed separatists...

Well, there is a long story behind the very word "separatists"; it was the new Kiev regime who made separatists of people, who just wanted Ukraine to become a federal state, by its stupid internal policies and started a civil war, desperately trying to convince the world of a Russian aggression.

During this civil war the Donetsk airport became one of the hottest spots. But how on Earth could Marie Harf know, just a couple hours later, that "Russian-backed separatists" were to blame in this cruel killing? The exact number of victims was not known yet; but it looks like there was no necessity in knowing exact information having a strong unquestionable prejudice of Russian guilt.

No investigation was conducted at all, evidences were mixed und unreliable, yet the one to blame was found immediately (maybe, in advance?). Isn't it a bit strange looking?

I know that warfare in general is always accompanied by more or less cruelty and atrocities and war crimes. Various sad accidents are possible at war, including "friendly fire", unintended deaths, etc.

However, as for investigation, so far I remember since the times when the Roman law was really Roman, one of the most important tasks was to discover cui prodest, that is for whom the deed is profitable.

And thinking about this tragedy from this point of view you inevitavly come to a conclusion it brought absolutely no profit to Novorossiya from any possible viewpoint; and it was absolutely profitable for Kiev regime — and for those who backed and supported the Ukrainian coup d'état or maidan (hypocritically called Revolution of Dignity), and encouraged Kiev to unleash a campaign of true, real state terrorism over those who were brave enough to oppose the regime.

If you want to stop war in Donbass effectively, stop Poroshenko now and forever, do not let Ukraine turn into a medieval state with radically nationalistic (Nazi) Bandera ideology. A huge part of Ukraine is already kind of Syria in Europe; is the next stage Libya?

Cui prodest?

There Is Hell on Earth

It is brought to the land of Ukraine by those who supported the coup d'état in Kiev; and now Kiev delivers it to the Eastern part of the country, to people who do not want to live together with Banderist neoNazi's.

They killed Vanya's stepfather and youner brother Timofey of 5. The rest of splinters destroyed Vanya's both feet, right hand, and one eye (the sight ability of the second one is doubtful now).

Last summer of Vanya being healthy and with his younger brother alive.

Millions were out on the street, declaring "Je suis Charlie" in remembrance of Charlie Hebdo caricaturists killed in Paris. It was a terrific terrorist attack, indeed. There were big figures walking in Paris, including Poroshenko.

Yet who cares of Dnobass people? Who is disturbed by sufferings of Vanya and many of his compatriots of all ages?

It looks like people are selectively caring. It looks like some lives matter more than other lives. I hate this bullshit.

Phil Butler asks a good question: "When will "We the people" stop killing in Donbass?"

Please visit his site under the link above and read his article. I am not going to copy-paste it; it well deserves being read on the author's web site. And comments as well; there are some quite cognitive ones.

In my opinion, it's a nice sample of ability to think different, looking out from the mainstream media frames and that partial or even deviated truth they abundantly deliver to people.

Thank you so much, Phil! And many thanks to Graham Phillips who advised this article and bravely goes on reporting from Novorossiya, unrecognized, yet trying to make it through shellings, blood, sweat and tears.

I am absolutely sure, so far there are such people, thinking and caring, able not to follow masses but to go in a direction they choose themselves — our world has chances to improve and be a better place to live in.

Dmitry 'Goblin' Puchkov: Int'l Community Says About Donbass Only Things Profitable For Them

An author, movie translator and Internet-based political writer Dmitry Puchkov, wider known under his alias Goblin, in his pre-New-Year interview to LuganskInformCenter explained his vision of situation in Lugansk and ways out of the crisis.

How do you estimate reaction of the international community to Donbass events of the passing year?

Everything was how it's supposed to be: the 'international community', i.e. a group of countries headed by the USA, prepared first, and then conducted a coup d'état in Ukraine. When it turned out that not all citizens of Ukraine agreed with the results of the putsch, a civil war was started in Ukraine under the guidance of the USA. Well, and further active support to the putschists seated in Kiev, complete defiance of the civil war and humanitarian catastrophe in the Donbass region. Quite a predictable reaction, for this very 'international community' talks only about that's profitable for them. And only then, when it's profitable.

What do you think the Russian civil society could do for the quickest possible settlement of the humanitarian problems in Donbass?

The Russian civil society first could begin to solve humanitarian problems of Donbass. At the given moment the state acts in a somehow strange way, and the citizens cannot consolidate without the state's assistance. It's quite enough to conduct a pair of [charity] telethones on some central TV channels, and quite a consideranle assistance can be rendered to Donbass people. And then [it's important] to assist them regularly.

What would you wish to the people of the Lugansk region for the coming 2015?

First of all I wish to the people of Lugansk that the war is stopped. And then everything by the schedule: let everything settle down, let everybody have job, let the children go to schools in peace. Big luck to you in the New Year!

It’s happened so that some of my acquaintances now are at war in Malorossiya. Unfortunately, for many of them it was kind of a rescue from those “lead nastinesses of the Russian life”* — acqusitiveness and consumerism which passed into the space of high technologies long ago. And which, ideally, a normal Russian person should not touch. As a temptation of devil... In this regard, I was lucky enough with my job: continuous business trips, expeditions and, the main thing, impressions from them don’t allow me to become a bourgeois homebody. But every time I meet people “from there” I understand that my life is missing something... I have already written about some of them in Zavtra web site. Now I’m going to tell about my fellow countryman Ustin. Most likely, some of those “web-based patriots” will find in him a subject for their ideological writings. However, one question is reigning in my head: what does set such people in motion?

Not of this world

“Ustin” is a call sign. In the common world he is Alexey Stenin from Nizhny Novgorod, and he is not ashamed of either his name or biography. At my question if I might publish his real name he responded in a soldierlike short manner: “I don’t give a damn.”

Sometimes it seemed to me he is an other-wordly man indeed, one of those who always made spiritual elite of Russia: men of fervent prayer, zealots, warriors and wanderers. People from that world where such concepts as ‘duty’, ‘honour’, ‘conscience’ and ‘friendship’ are still valid and in full power. People from the highest spheres that do not really care of our primitive worldly affairs, be it mortgage or a new carpet purchase. People who are aristocrats of Spirit.

Ustin has two Chechnya campaigns in his record. He was a sniper and took part in many operations. For example, in Bamut. Since then he’s keeping his call sign. His military specialty became useful in Prizrak (Ghost) group of Alexey Mozgovoy. At my already standard question “What’s brought you there?” Ustin answered simply: “I couldn’t be indifferent.” Same answers I heard from other volunteers as well. Thus, until now I’ve failed to reveal a secret of a surprising phenomenon of Russian volunteering: what does move people to leave their families, homes, jobs, and rush to the abyss of war, being seemingly unnecessary for them. Now I gradually come to a conclusion that you can learn it only from your personal experience.

“I have neither wife nor children, and my job did not hold me strong”, Ustin explained. “At that time I had no acquaintances there. I just packed up and went. And then it appeared that my home is there. Exactly there, but not “at home”. Everything is clear and native for me there.

Here I involuntarily remembered a very popular during my childhood and then considered underground anti-Soviet movie “Rambo II” and the quote from it: “What you choose to call hell, he calls home!” The movie, by the way, created a furore in the “safe” American society: it appeared they had to treat their defenders with understanding and respect**. Or showdowns won’t be limited by Internet debates. Therefore I won’t insert a word into Ustin’s story; just because I have no right.


We were slowly being murdered

We were at a deployment, and were ambushed at the village of Utkino. There were nine of us. A battle raged on. I saw deaths of three our men. The driver who sat near me was killed at once. Then two more fellows... Then something blew up near me...

God, art thou?

Karina, 9, was on this bike going home with her mother, Yana, when Ukrainian shelling struck by them yesterday around 6pm. Karina was killed by shrapnel, her mum seriously injured. Gorlovka.

Say 'Farewell!' to Karina. The democratically elected and supported by the USA and the EU Kiev (Kyiv) regime has not allowed her to grow up. Ukrainian shrapnel has found her gulity by the place of birth and living. And, just for you to know, they call all this the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). Quite orwellianly doublespeakful, isn't it?

Read it thoroughly. Understand it. This is the 21st century, November, 2014. This is Europe.

Rules of Conduct During Artillery Shelling

1. Do not run if explosions are near. Fall on the ground and cover your head with hands — this is the best way to rescue.

2. During shelling at an open space, a ditch or any recess in the ground can serve as a shelter. Having found such a shelter, do not leave it until the shelling is ceased.

3. Any protrusion of the ground, or concrete blockage, or mound will do. It is not recommended to hide in basements of dwellings; there is a high risk to remain under debris.

4. It is recommended to stay away from machinery, cars, fire dangerous and explosive objects.

5. Modern buildings which are insufficiently rigid yet contain plenty of windows, glass cases and glass elements, are extremely dangerous.

6. Do not seek safety in water, river, lake or any other reservoir. After an accidental shell or bomb blast a shock wave of extreme strength will be expanding, leading to a heavy hydraulic shock (the principle of TNT fish stunning).

7. It's strongly recommended to wait through the shelling with your ears tightly closed with hands and slightly opened mouth to control pressure.

These are fruits of the so called "Revolution of Dignity" (which was not a revolution in any case and had nothing to do with dignity) the children of Eastern Ukraine, that is Novorosiya, are enjoying. This is what the so called 'civilized world' led by the USA and EU was for, helping the Ukrainian putschists to overthrow Yanukovich's "tyranny".

God save your children from such a dignity.
